Summary: A WELT IM FILM newsreel compilation put together in the 4th week of blockade.
Description: a. Russian dismiss 2 railway officials, and announce future recognition of Soviet-issued inter-Zone passes only (illustrated by film of overgrown railway tracks, newspaper reports). c. Distinguished visitors to Berlin: Australian premier Chifley; US Ambassador to Britain, Douglas; British Air Minister Henderson; Anthony Eden (lengthy coverage, of Eden at the British Information Centre with leading Berlin politicians, and excerpts from the speech in which he pledged the British Opposition's support for Western Allies' stand: the speech is relayed by loudspeaker to crowd outside who applaud). d. The airlift continues at night: control tower scenes at Tempelhof; 'introductions' to individual USAF pilots (for whom "the impossible has become the routine") e. Newspapers announce USSR's reply to Western protest note. f. Work on new runways at Gatow, Tempelhof etc. to extend airlift.
