Description: I. "Canadian conference chiefs' final adieux." a. Crowds cheer as Churchill drives through Quebec in a car with Mackenzie King. His wife and daughter Mary watch from the windows of the City Hall. b. Roosevelt visits Ottawa where he addresses a crowd at the entrance to the House of Commons emphasising the links between the USA and Canada ("same family") and looking forward to the elimination of "gangsterism" from international politics.
II. "Cracking the Axis." A summary of the military victories to date over the Axis powers. Russian achievement in repulsing the Germans is suggested by gun salutes in Moscow (view of the city and parade) which mark the liberation of Soviet towns and by a tribute to "the great leader" (Stalin).
