- Summary: I. American seahorse play. II. French explosives inventor. III. Demonstration over the death of Captain Fryatt. IV. Sports meeting in support of disabled veterans. V. Continuation of the previous episode.
- Description: I. 'WATER PUSHBALL. American swimmers enjoying a game of water-pushball at Coney Island.' Swimmers push about a large inflated ball. Three women row about in tubs. Men in canoes engage in a scrimmage, each crew of two attempting to upset rival boats - one canoe fills with water and sinks. II. 'FAMOUS FRENCH SCIENTIST. M. Turpin the inventor of turpenite and melinite, two high explosives that have helped to make the French "75" World famous.' MS of M Turpin standing with his back to the camera, feeding chickens in a yard. CU as he sorts chemical bottles, holding up one to examine it against the light. III. 'FRYATT DEMONSTRATION. British Workers' National League, organise a demonstration in Trafalgar Square. Over 12,000 people pass a resolution in favour of the sternest reprisals for the murder of Captain Fryatt.' CU of 'worker' in a flat cap. A man addresses the crowd from a position at the foot of the column and is duly applauded. Two more speakers follow. The crowd votes with a show of hands. IV. 'SPORTS CARNIVAL. Viscount French attends the sports meeting in aid of disabled soldiers and sailors. The mile handicap and boxing match, the marathon race won by the Norfolk Yeomanry.' Two young boys box, watched by a large stadium crowd. MS as soldiers set off running, dressed in full uniform with bandoliers and rifles - presumably this is the mile handicap. The marathon runners cross the finishing line, looking convincingly tired. A walking race around the stadium track - the winner is No 5 with No 41 a close second. Viscount French's presence is nowhere evident. V. 'DONKEY DERBY. Celebrated jockeys who have ridden in previous "Derbys" riding a new mount to help the funds of the Star and Garter Home.' The race begins around the stadium. CU of winning jockey and his donkey.
