Description: At Lommel, a goods train has its cargo of petrol and lubricating oil drums and jerrycan petrol containers transferred by Belgian labourers working under RASC supervision onto RASC Bedford OY and Mack EH lorries which then deliver the POL supplies to depots in the roadhead; an Army Fire Service Bedford QL fire tender is seen on hand. At a POL dump on the Bourg Leopold-Lommel road, civilian workers load jerrycans onto a Leyland Hippo lorry. Jerrycans and petrol and lubricating oil drums are seen stacked in large quantities along the road. (2) At Bourg Leopold, Morris Quads, CMP 3-tonners, Bedford MW trucks, Loyd carriers, Bedford OY, Austin K3, Mack NM6, Bedford QLT, Austin K6, Fordson WOT6 lorries and M28 Weasels await issue in a vehicle park. RAOC personnel use a mobile crane to stack crated tank engines returned for repairs. In an ordnance depot, REME personnel check rubber tyres needing repair; inside, RAOC storesmen load batteries and other stores into a Bedford MW truck and a CMP 3-tonner. At a Bulk Supply Depot and at a railhead nearby, RASC and civilian personnel handle food supplies.
