Description: Two sequences separated by spacer. (1) MS of two silvered weather balloons tethered to the ground-one is not fully inflated. CU of the tail of one balloon. MS of hose connected to a balloon - which is being further inflated (?) - it bounces gently at its moorings. (2) CU of tripod and level. CU of a man relaxing in the front seat of a jeep, reading a 'Pocket Companion'. MS of a man working on equipment set up in a trench. CU as fine adjustments are made to an instrument suspended from the apex of a tripod stand - MCU as a man tests the elastic suspension system. LS of weather balloon ascending with suspended instrument package - it recedes into invisibility. Break. Notice 'G-11 20'. High angle MS of a newly dug trench, gas cylinder, equipment, etc. Pan across desert scenery. Low angle shot of wind speed indicator and standard weather test laboratory. Environs of the shot tower (?) LS of tents erected in the desert. MS of same. Final bomb assembly site. (?).
