II. "Sport from Australia." US troops in Australia celebrate Independence Day by watching and participating in a game of American Football between Army and Navy teams in Sydney. Another sporting item is a doubles tennis match in the NSW capital.
III. "Royal visitors for US Army stars." Lady Mountbatten greets the Royal family arriving at the London Palladium to watch a matinee performance of "This is the Army." The show, presented by the US Army in aid of British Service charities, includes Irving Berlin singing his own composition "My British Buddy" and other numbers.
