Description: Report by Quentin Reynolds on the RAF raids on Cologne and the Ruhr and the reprisal bombing by the Germans on Canterbury. Reynolds draws his emotive contrast between the RAF and Luftwaffe choice of targets - "Canterbury for Cologne, that's the Nazi mentality!" - and ends by saying that the USA soon hopes to fly and fight beside the RAF. Item continues with Bomber Command Air Marshal Harris seated in his office sending out a message to all stations involved in the thousand bomber raid on Cologne: "they (the Germans) sowed the wind and now they are going to reap the whirlwind. Let him have it on the chin!". A station commander relays this message to the bomber crews who take off and return the next morning to give a confident account of the night's mission. WAAFs in the radio control centre make contact with a returning plane ("F for Freddie, recalling "Target for Tonight").
