Summary: HM Queen Elizabeth II, Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC) pays a final visit to to RAOC headquarters at Deepcut, immediately prior to the RAOC's amalgamation into the Royal Logistic Corps.
Description: Crowds assemble for ceremony on the occasion of the Queen's visit. Band and soldiers march onto parade ground in formation and assemble. Guard of Honour stands to attention. RAOC standard is raised. (Temporary loss of clear image as camera is repositioned closer to Guard of Honour.) HM Queen Elizabeth comes onto parade ground and inspects Guard of Honour. Marchpast of Guard and veterans. Camera is reposition to cover the march-off of the band. HM Queen Elizabeth descends from the podium and walks off the parade ground. HM Queen visits exhibits: close-ups of medals on veterans. Scenes at reception after the visit: camera mingles amongst the guests. Shots of arrival of royal party at RAOC Regimental Headquarters. Queen enters and meets senior officers and other dignitaries. Exterior shot of Royal Standard flying, and close-up of Royal Shield and ornament on the radiator of the royal car. Inside the headquarters, HM Queen meets other officers and wives, and signs the visitor's book. Exterior shots of RAOC Regimental Headquarters, including long close-ups of RAOC crest in mosaic, with motto "Sua Tela Tonant" ("Their weapons are thunderbolts"). HM Queen leaves the headquarters and unveils a small monument commemorating the Royal Army Ordnance Corps to much applause. Royal party departs.
