Summary: Unedited rushes concentrating on logistical aspects of preparation by Royal Corps of Transport (RCT) for forthcoming campaign in desert of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait against Iraqi forces.
Description: I. Shots of ASP (Ammunition Supply Point) beside desert road. Camera pans across desert; Land Rover is seen arriving and helicopter flies overhead. Further shots of the ASP (from outside), this time with moving camera: signs on road day "53 Ordnance Company Ammunition Supply Point 2" and "VCP Stop Show ID 100m". Camera vehicle then drives away from the ASP (revealing more markers for the VCP or Vehicle Checkpoint), before returning and driving up to (and through) the VCP by the supply point before parking.
II. Camera position by desert road at the ASP: convoy of vehicles drives up and each vehicle passes through VCP.
III. WO2 Ross (Master Driver, 1 Armoured Division South) gets out of Land Rover and talks to camera about his duties; there are several takes of this sequence.
IV Shots (without sound) of 17 Squadron camp: vehicle movements and (metal) fuel storage tanks. Panning shots of the area show parked vehicles and heavy transporters setting off carrying heavy plant equipment.
