Other titles:
Summary: Ships of 2nd Battle Squadron at a practice shoot, circa 1918.
Description: I. Three Orion Class battleships, and a Queen Elizabeth, which flies a kite balloon, are escorted by a Marksman Class Leader, Special I, and Admiralty M Class destroyers. II. Long shot of HMS King George V, Centurion, Erin and Agincourt in line astern - they turn to port into line abreast for a practice shoot (cf IWM 1174). III. Long shot off port bow as three Orion Class battleships steam in line astern for a shoot - HMS Orion in the van. The line turns to port, steaming directly into camera, which focuses on the two leading ships - they open fire over the port beam. Medium long shot of second ship, bows-on to camera, as she fires to port - a line of spume appears across her bows, and the camera pans left to show HMS Orion holding station on her sister's starboard bow - the spray was torn up by the blast from Orion's guns. Orion fires a second time.
