Description: The success of the recent Lancaster raids on such distant targets as Augsburg, Le Creusot and Milan depends as much on the ground crews who support the planes as it does on those who fly them. Film acknowledges this important point by showing brief glimpses of the following RAF ground personnel doing their vital jobs: flying control staff, WAAF parachute packer, oil bowser and petrol bowser drivers, bomb-train loaders and WAAF driver, flight mechanics, ground maintenance crew and meteorological officer. Item concludes with a view of the flying crew of an Avro Lancaster entering their aircraft and taking off.
