Summary: RAF film on the role of 10 Squadron, based at RAF Brize Norton with VC-10 transport aircraft. The film looks at 10 Squadron's headquarters and operations room, the global routes flown by squadron aircraft and the maintenance organisation at Brize Norton. Air and ground crew train in nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) protective drills and the squadron's work in casualty evacuation and VIP transport is illustrated. At No.241 Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) pilots are trained in the VC-10 simulator and at the Aeromedical Evacuation Training Centre aircraft evacuation procedures are exercised. Passengers, crew and cargo are prepared for a flight and a VC-10 takes off, landing at and taking off from various overseas airbases before returning to Brize Norton. Finally a wing commander rounds off the film with a short speech.
