Title:MITCHELLS PREPARE FOR A RAID [Allocated Title]
Film Number:ARY 36-18

Summary: General scenes of ground activity and stock shots of a Mitchell operation.
Description: 500-pound bombs are loaded into a Mitchell as aircrew look on. An aircraft named "SYLVIA" is started up, the pilot giving a "thumbs up" to camera. Mitchells of 180 Squadron take off to camera. Faked shots of aircrew "in flight" are followed by good views of the RAFFPU cameraman "at work" with an Eyemo camera, first shooting through the fuselage floor, winding the camera and shooting through the side window. Note the reflection of the ground Sinclair cameraman in his lens! Interspersed with this is a good shot of Dutch navy ground crew (one Javanese) look at the bomb mission tally of NO*S. Ground crew polish a Mitchell's canopy. Crews gather around aircraft of 108 Squadron which are also seen taxiing and taking off in a dusk or early morning effect.
