Summary: Units from the 7th Armoured and 53rd (Welsh) Divisions compete for road space in a small village near Arras.
Description:An effigy of Pierre Laval, former French Third Republic politician and Vichy leader, hangs from an improvised gallows in Bethonsart as traffic, notably a CMP 3-ton lorry with an air compressor (?) in tow, heads through the village in both directions; a sign on the street corner points the way to Mingeral and Cambligneul. A Sherman OP tank ('Pegasus IV') from the 3rd Royal Horse Artillery and two OP (?) carriers possibly from the same unit squeeze through the village past two Bedford QLB tractors from the 116th LAA Regiment RA heading in the opposite direction with two Bofors 40mm guns in tow. A CMP 15cwt truck from 131st Brigade's REME unit is seen motoring through Bethonsart.
