- Summary: French propaganda film on American forces on the Western Front June-July 1918.
- Description: The film opens with a French and US soldier shaking hands, fading into a statue of Lafayette with Washington. Scenes of American troops disembarking at a harbour to substantiate the claim that there are a million US soldiers in France, 65,000 in the Zone des Armées. The troops march out of the docks and leave by train. At a halt they receive food and talk with French soldiers by the tracks. Locals applaud as a US marching column passes through a French town. At their first training camp in the woods the Americans settle in and eat from their field cookers. Other US troops enter a YMCA hut where they play a wind-up gramophone, drink coffee, read newspapers and talk. Black troops do outdoor physical exercises with rifles. More troops train for an attack in wave formation. The waves make short rushes and go to ground; near the objective the men throw smoke grenades and rush forward supported by automatic weapons. A close-up of faces of men of 3rd Division at rest by the Marne River before assembling back into column and marching off. A few men of US 2nd Division in Belleau Wood, dug in, resting, with 155mm howitzers and 75mm field guns delivering harassing fire. At a formal ceremony Marshal Foch decorates members of 2nd Division (?) with the Croix de Guerre while the divisional commander, Major-General Omar Bundy (?) watches. US soldiers play with French children, others sit reading to children in Alsatian dress, the book being "Histoire d'Alsace". The children cheer the US Army.
