Description: I. Coverage of incidents in Antony, a suburb of Paris: six prisoners, probably from a Luftwaffe flak regiment, are brought in under guard by men of the FFI. A Red Cross team bring in a casualty on a stretcher.
II. The journey from Antony to the Left Bank via the Porte d'Italie: the camera team follows the jeeps, half-tracks and trucks of the 2nd French Armoured Division and the 4th US Infantry Division into Paris along a route partly obstructed by trees felled by German rearguard parties and now more effectively blocked by hordes of Parisians moving onto the road to greet their Liberators.
III. Scenes at the Hotel de Ville, the seat of the Comité National de La Resistance. An unhappy group of prisoners, pummelled and jeered at by the mob, is led towards the Hotel de Ville. In the square before the building, huge crowds carrying banners proclaiming Liberation and placards bearing the name of de Gaulle celebrate their liberation and the arrival of the Allies in Paris.
