Description: Infantry and armoured units serving with the 32nd Guards Brigade Group are greeted by Belgian civilians as they cross the Belgian frontier. Later on in the day, Cromwell tanks from the 2nd Armoured Recce Battalion Welsh Guards, enter the towns of Ath and Enghien during the race along the highway to Brussels. German stragglers are taken prisoners and are searched for hidden weapons and documents by British troops serving with the 1st Welsh Guards. After having advanced over a hundred miles in one day, the 2nd Welsh Guards enter Brussels and receive a wildly enthusiastic welcome from its inhabitants.
