Summary: Infantry and armour spearheading 8th Brigade's attack on Overloon advance past relics of previous unsuccessful assaults on the village by 7th US Armoured Division.
Description: Supported by a Churchill tank troop from 4th Coldstream Guards No. 1 Squadron, 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment's 'A' or 'C' company advances towards Overloon from startlines a mile north of the village; clearly visible are a knocked out Sherman M4A1 76mm gun tank and, among the infantry, two stretcher bearers and a No. 18 wireless detachment (an FOOP?). Churchills from the squadron's HQ troop deploy near the Sherman; nearby, an ambulance jeep returns from Overloon with a casualty. Youthful-looking prisoners from "Battalion Paul" are escorted to the rear along the same route. Infantrymen (either 'C' or 'D' company) advance towards their objective past the derelict Sherman and the Churchills. Infantrymen (?) from 'D' company file towards their startline. From a Churchill tank turret, the cameraman observes prisoners, some carrying their wounded on improvised stretchers, passing HQ troop and two British stretcher bearers and a universal carrier heading in the opposite direction towards Overloon; shells burst several hundred yards away in the background.
