Description: I. "From the Fourteenth Army front." Mountbatten visits soldiers of the Fourteenth Army on the Imphal front where he looks at a couple of captured Japanese tanks. He later visits a village in Manipur where life is "back to normal" for the inhabitants after the departure of the Japanese. Item concludes with Hurricanes carrying out a bomb attack against an enemy position.
II. "Air fury blasts Hun." Lancasters score direct hits in a daylight raid against German U-Boat pens in Brest harbour. Further east, Allied planes bomb enemy supply lines and bridges as well as making a low-level bombing raid (by Mosquitos) against a large château which allegedly houses German officers.
III. "Free French back to free France." Free French army units led by General Leclerc land in France and bring their equipment ashore. Locals wave as the men drive through liberated towns and villages (unidentified).
