Description: An introductory sequence depicts life at a British shore station of the FAA: opening shots of dinghies sailing near an aircraft carrier and other naval vessels, followed by scenes of the training of men and women mechanics, some aspects of off duty life (recreational activities, a wedding, married quarters), and a parade. Most of the film shows an aircraft carrier leaving Gibraltar and participating in a naval exercise. There are good shots of planes (Hawker Sea Furies and Fairey Fireflies) taking off, passing low to "attack" a cruiser, and returning to deck landings - one Sea Fury's undercarriage collapses on landing. The closing image is of an early naval jet, the Supermarine Attacker, performing aerobatics.
