Summary: Disjointed film of a delegation of Italian naval and military officers visiting HMS Queen Elizabeth in the Firth of Forth, March-May 1918.
Description: The view, always in long shot, is of the quarterdeck of the Queen Elizabeth. Admiral Beatty walks and talks with his staff and three Italian officers. The rest of the Grand Fleet can be seen at anchor in the background. The Italians leave on a small launch, which pulls away. The same launch, ML.324, returns with more of the Italians, who are piped on board the battleship. There is a sudden time cut to the Italians pacing the deck, talking with Beatty and his staff. Lieutenant Neal, the official naval photographer, and Lieutenant Ernest Brooks, an official Army photographer on secondment, can be seen taking photographs as the delegates walk around the deck. The delegates leave on the launch. Brooks and Neal check their record books.
