Description: Men of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers are welcomed as they march through the streets of Newcastle on their return from the Korean War. The Lord Mayor, Mrs Grantham, takes the salute. The following day the regiment marches to St Nicholas's Cathedral, which they enter bearing their colours for a thanksgiving service. Afterwards, the troops march through the streets again as their commanding officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Foster, takes the salute.
