Summary: "Day and night." A newsreel report which gives a general impression (use of newspaper headlines montage, super-imposition of RAF badge as well as direct actuality film) of the unrelenting aerial assault on German controlled territory.
Description: Daylight operations include the bombing by Bostons of the docks of St Mâlo and a chemical works near Lille. Meanwhile heavy bomber crews are briefed, target for tonight being Bremen. "First successful night film" then shows small fires burning far below the planes. Crews return after the raid (deliberately dark film which seeks to evoke the impression of a raid rather than the more direct reporting style usual in newsreels).
