Summary:I. "Awards to heroes of filling factory." Standing near the ruins of a factory which was destroyed by fire on 30 May 1943, firemen and workers describe how they prevented 2000 lb bombs and mines from exploding for as long as possible, thus allowing 800 workers time to escape. As a result of their bravery only two people were killed and some injured. At a ceremony held in the workers' canteen Director-General of Filling Factories C S Robinson presents various awards including George Medals, British Empire Medals and the OBE to the brave men. Audience apparently appreciates the relaxed style of the ceremony.
