Description: The film includes material on fires (including panoramic views of the burning city from the roof of Saint Paul's as well as ground-level shots of individual blazes) and firefighting, with some film of a fireboat and scenes inside a fire service control room as well as 'normal' hose and pump footage; there is also film of the 'morning after' showing the extent (and, in Saint Paul's case, absence) of damage, with some burned out fire appliances among the ruins, and film of a fireman's funeral. Concluding images show firemen cheerfully claiming to be 'bombed but unbeaten', the statue of Justice on the Old Bailey, and the engraved motto "Defend the children of the poor and punish the wrongdoer."
