Description of chassis - split trail legs, saddle supporting bracket and axles, wheels, trail eyes, brackets for fixing gun including loading tray, spade housing brackets, cradle clamp inside trail legs, legs locking lever. Diagrams of spring loading locking plungers, movement of axle tree and wheels.
(Reel 2) Detailed mechanics of the superstructure including the saddle and saddle support bracket, traversing hand wheel and the traversing stop. Also of the elevating gear including carry gun and recoil system trunnions, quick loading gear, elevating arc and elevating handwheel.
(Reel 3) Explanation of loading angle, the role of the plungers on the quick loading mechanism, siting system and recoil system.
