Summary:
Description: Parisians on their way to work on foot and on bicycle buy copies of newspapers such as the "Front Nationale" and "Le Parisian Libre" in the Rue Royale. Others in less of a hurry take time off to read their copies on street benches. A policeman shares his newspaper with an army cadet (?) while an elderly woman rummages around in a dustbin, allegedly for thrown-away newspapers. A woman proprietor opens up her newspaper kiosk which still bears signs of the recently-ended occupation, notably the advertisements for "Signal", a German-sponsored feature magazine, and the Vichy Lottery.
