Summary: Having captured much of Overloon the previous day, the 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment consolidates its grip on the wrecked village.
Description: Members of a universal carrier detachment from the battalion's support company escort four Wehrmacht (?) prisoners from 180th Division - their hands placed on their heads - to battalion HQ past Overloon's cemetery. Five more POWs are led past a Sherman Crab flail tank from No. 3 troop (?) in the Westminster Dragoons' 'C' squadron towards the badly-damaged village church. Looking tired and dirty, members of a patrol drawn from the Suffolks' 'C' Company cautiously investigate the remains of a farm set on fire by German mortars for signs of the enemy, who is encountered in the form of a hobnail booted corpse of a German soldier (who stiff appearance would suggest that he had been dead for at least several hours)
