Summary: 30th Corps races for the Belgian capital in the face of negligible German resistance.
Description: Motorcycle outriders and soft-skinned transport belonging to the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards (including its HQ) pass an abandoned German lorry and a burning saloon car while a wounded German soldier is rescued from the roadside and taken away for medical treatment. A Cromwell tank belonging to the 2nd Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion Welsh Guards keeps watch over the captured survivors of a German road convoy destroyed near Enghien. Prisoners who have been ordered to sit by the main road, hands on heads, watch armoured fighting vehicles from the 2nd Welsh Guards and the 2nd Household Cavalry race towards Brussels. Earlier, armour and lorried infantry from the 2nd and 3rd Battalions Irish Guards cross into Belgium and follow the signs to Brussels. They and the 2nd Welsh Guards are warmly welcomed by the citizens of Ath.
