Summary: Army Recruiting film describing the opportunities available in armoured units. Basic training at Catterick is described briefly, including scenes of weapons training, soldiers on an assault course and navigation exercises. There is then a more thorough examination of the different trades available. Although trades such as clerk and storeman are mentioned, the main emphasis is on the training programmes for tank drivers, gunners and signallers, including gunnery simulators and live firing with Centurion tanks on the range at Lulworth in Dorset. Training in Saladin armoured cars is shown, and the then-new Chieftain tank makes a brief appearance. Towards the end of the film a passing-out parade is shown, reviewed by the last Chief of the Imperial General Staff and first Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Richard Hull.
