The area is roped off and a decontamination squad arrives; members of the squad, in full protective clothing (FPC), absorb the liquor using sand, which is then placed in barrels, covered in bleach and sealed. The nozzle of the hose, the tanker wheels and a section of wall are treated with bleach. Finally, the area is swilled with sodium hypochloride.
