Summary: Six bombed-out and derelict flying bomb launching sites are uncovered by 12th Corps' advance in an area around Molliens Vidame west of Amiens.
Description: At Brocourt, wrecked V-1 fuselages and their 'insides', notably spherical-shaped compressed air bottles, are found lying in a bomb-blasted stretch of wood. Rails on which the mobile launch platform used to run lead into the trees. At Lignieres, a concrete runway for the launching platform is concealed by a wood. A small camouflaged shelter can be picked out on the right. At Souplicant, a low improvised earth and wood firing bunker lies near the launching way in among close-growing trees. At Camps L'Amienois just outside Molliers Vidame, concrete fragments lie scattered over bomb-craters at the corner of a wood - the result of a British air raid in early July. A broken 'ski' ramp lies nearby. A two-bay concrete bunker and another wrecked ramp together with mangled flying bomb parts and a lorry and trailer are found at Avesnes. At Entrejust, an uncompleted earth ramp cut into the hillside is left as a reminder of the Germans' presence.
