Description: (Reel 1) First part of reel shows men in a control room in front of a board marked with fire appliance information and studying a map marked with concentric circles. The managing director, Sir Roland Smith(?), opens a copy of Ford Works News (headline story: Managing Director Knighted) and looks through a photograph album with pictures of personalities (seemingly visitors to Ford at Dagenham - including Harry Lauder). Spotters are shown in an observation post gazing through binoculars. The second part of the reel shows the managing director in his office filling out a cheque and receiving visitors. (Reel 2) Further ARP control room shots are followed by shots showing a car pulling up outside the Dagenham factory(?) - Sir Roland gets out and is greeted by another man. There follow several shots around a town (a pub selling Maidstone Ales is visible), including a school and a monument to a Gillingham man, and shots of a substantial house and garden.
