Description: I. Carrying a section of infantrymen from the 3rd Battalion Monmouthshire Regiment a piece. Sherman tanks belonging to the 3rd Royal Tank regiment's 'C' squadron motor along a muddy track through woodland between the Deurne - St Anthonis road and Haag and Meerslo, a short distance from 29th Armoured Brigade's objective for the day, the Deurne - Venraij road.
II. Having just de-bussed from troop-carrying lorries, infantrymen serving with the Monmouthshire Regiment prepare to board 3rd RTR tanks at an assembly area near the Deurne- St Anthonis road. An infantry section clambers onto the engine decking of a Sherman; an entire tank squadron, with an infantry company on board, waits to move off. The cameraman studies the faces of three silent, dreamy-looking riflemen sitting on one of the Shermans.
