Workers step through rubble to reach factory while victims of the raid sit smiling in hospital. RAF officer explains the impossibility of intercepting lone raiders but emphasises that the British are doing the same thing "more effectively" against Germany. b. Workers at another munitions factory arrive by special train. Women change into overalls, apply protective face-cream which is tinted and perfumed and 'equal to Elizabeth Arden' then begin work filling Oerlikon shells. Director-General of Filling Factories C S Robinson, "who knows his workers as human beings", pays tribute to their heroism.
