Description: Two universal carriers, one carrying an OP detachment from 116th Field Regiment RA and the other ("Dog Star") carrying the HQ of the 1/7th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment's 'D' company and tanks from the East Riding Yeomanry's 'A' squadron towards the village of St Contest Shermans belonging to the tank squadron's HQ troop in particular a Firefly armed with a 17-pounder gun manoeuvre behind the crest of a low ridge in front of St Contest to take up hull-down firing positions and to avoid mortar bombardment while one or two infantrymen dig-in in the foreground; smoke from bursting mortar bombs flares up in the waist-high wheat. An RAF Typhoon fighter-bomber supporting the attack flies low overhead. One of the HQ troop Shermans opens fire with its co-axial Browning .30 calibre machine-gun on positions impeding the Warwickshires assault.
