Description: (Tape 1) In wooded area, soldiers in camouflage gear are briefed. They advance under the cover of smoke, firing as they go. Cameraman gives directions. Green smoke grenade is thrown. Further staged combat scenes, including one in which a soldier becomes a "casualty". [Also on the tape is a black and white sequence featuring an old English sheepdog, left over from its previous usage.]
(Tape 2) Members of 1 Para and 101st Airborne receive another briefing prior to a casualty evacuation exercise. Members of camera crew talk to officers. Casualty evacuation: the "victim" is stabilised and then carried away on a makeshift stretcher.
(Tape 3) Further evacuation scenes, followed by shaky shots showing the ground. Close-ups of 1 Para badge and Pegasus on the door of a Land Rover, and of a 101st Airborne shoulder flash. Soldiers talk informally, and share an al fresco meal. [Also on the tape is part of an off-air documentary programme about reduction of forces in the British Army of the Rhine, left over from its previous usage.]
