Summary: Presentation ceremony of 350 Ford mobile canteens in the courtyard of Mansion House, London.
Description: Edited, mute film with intertitles shows a line of mobile canteen vans each marked with a location (Shoreditch, Islington, Newcastle etc) parked outside Mansion House. Sir George Wilkinson, Lord Mayor of London, in a speech made from a podium adorned with the British and US flags (in the background a bomb damaged area), accepts the mobile canteen vans from the Right Honourable Lord Perry, Chairman of the Ford Motor Company, in lieu of Mr Henry Ford and Mr Edsel B Ford. A van is unlocked and inspected, soup(?) is doled out to the VIPs and to others and a long line of the vans with their crews is inspected. The King and Queen arrive to spend much time viewing the vans and meeting the crews before departing by car.
