  • Description: Part 1. The research illustrated in this record addresses the progress towards producing electronic components suitable for telemetering and the control of airborne, remote controlled weapons. Included are close up shots of the internal electronic components in use, a detailed illustration of the bespoke production process producing the components in addition to the assembly processes being used in the assembly of the finished prototypes. Examples of some of the tests used, footage of subminiature valves and a completed potted sub unit called a 'brick' when fitted to a telemetering unit. Part 2 is a discussion on the merits, designs, planning and construction behind printed circuits in the place of individual circuitry and wiring. Includes discussion, diagrams and examples of their research into producing printed circuits, in addition to footage of the manual production of such prototype circuits by the TRE researchers. Part 3 addresses their research into developing miniature and subminiature potted circuits suitable for telemetering and the control of airborne, remote controlled weapons. Included are close up shots of the internal electronic components in use, a detailed illustration of the bespoke production process producing the components in addition to the assembly processes being used in the assembly of the finished prototypes.
