Summary:
Description: I. "Fighting Friendship." Coverage of the Tehran Conference includes little information beyond the names of those who attend, filmed in the intervals between discussions. Aerial film of the Elburz Mountains precedes views of Tehran and in particular the British Legation, where Eden, Ismay, Portal, Cunningham, Clark Kerr, Cadogan, Churchill and Harry Hopkins are seen informally. At the Soviet Embassy Churchill presents the Sword of Stalingrad to Stalin who passes it on to Voroshilov. Remainder of newsreel concentrates on Churchill - receiving a Persian hat on his 69th birthday, wearing the uniform of the 4th Hussars during an inspection of soldiers, addressing the troops (no sound) and meeting the young Shah at the Soviet Embassy. Commentary speaks of the "united and total confidence" of participants at Conference (who pose formally for the camera).
