Summary:
Description: I. "Royal Visit to Dutch outpost." Crown Princess Juliana, on a tour of Dutch possessions in the Caribbean area, lands at Sint Eustatius where the airfield is decorated with a V (Victory) and O (House of Orange) sign, watches the natives cheer and dance then proceeds to Paramaribo in Dutch Guiana where she attends a parade by US troops "who are cooperating with the Dutch in guarding the colony."
II. "Clearing of the Solomons." Sea-level views of the US Naval bombardment of Bougainville Island before Marines come ashore during this "successful operation."
III. "French Fleet ready for battle." General Giraud goes on board the two destroyers, 'Le Fantasque' and 'Terrible', to award both vessels the Croix de Guerre. Views of the 6,000 ton 'Jeanne D'Arc' being used for gunnery practice, an unidentified submarine "returning from patrol" and the battleship 'Richelieu' somewhere at sea apparently suggest that the French Navy is now "ready for action."
IV "Russian Art in war." Works on display at an exhibition in Moscow include cartoons ridiculing the Nazi leadership. Continuing advance of Red Army illustrated by Katyushas firing, captured Germans and the return of peasants.
