Summary:
Description: I. "Killing the flying bomb." Commentary belittles the importance of flying bombs, describing them as "relics of the waning power of the Nazi air force." Film shows a V1 lying in a field in Southern England, before covering a bomb attack on the launching sites and assembly sheds carefully concealed by woods in the Pas de Calais area. V1s which reach England are often shot down.
II. "RAF flying artillery." Germany's "indiscriminate" method of aerial attack is contrasted with the RAF's new weapon, the rocket-firing Typhoon. Rockets are attached to the wings of planes which take off and strafe ground-targets in Occupied Europe.
III. "Cherbourg drive." Plan to cut Cotentin Peninsula has been successful; RN vessels pound the German positions as American forces press on through devastated villages, including Quineville, and prisoners are marched off. Tank reinforcements come ashore from LSTs.
