Summary:
Description: I. "FIDO." Film shows a FIDO runway lighting up and dispersing fog, then aerial and ground level views of a Lancaster and Mosquito approaching and landing on the runway. Geoffrey Lloyd, formerly Minister in Charge of Petroleum Warfare, and Air Vice Marshal Bennett visit an airfield and say a few words to the camera.
II. "A little loot." View of remains of Hitler's Berchtesgaden home precedes coverage of art treasures, including paintings and wood-carvings, looted by Goering and stored nearby. 101st Airborne Division arranges an exhibition of the collection; commentary attributes high proportion of "Eves" in collection to Goering's "pornographic interest."
III. "The last of Europe's Butcher." External view of the house in Lüneburg where Himmler committed suicide. Corpse lies on floor; view of cyanide phial.
IV. "Paris greets Monty." De Gaulle confers Grand Cross of Legion of Honour on Montgomery who then lays a wreath and signs a book at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Drives down Champs Elysées with Koenig.
V. "Movie training for fighter aces." Pilots use camera-guns in mock combat training then have errors corrected during run-through of film.
