Summary: Royal Marines armour and commandos are seen fighting to take a German strongpoint on the coast at Langrune-sur-Mer.
Description: A Centaur tank from the Royal Marine Armoured Support Group (RMASG) is accompanied by an M10 self-propelled gun from the 3rd Canadian Division's anti-tank unit as it closes in on a 45-man strong detachment from the 736 Wehrmacht Regiment's 9th Company holding out against No 48 Royal Marine Commando in a strongpoint near the seafront at Langrune-sur-Mer. Men from the Commando's 'A' Troop take up positions in buildings and in a garden as the two armoured vehicles move up to demolish a concrete tank barrier denying them access to the seafront. Further along the road lies a Centaur disabled by mines the previous day and another tank beyond it cut off from the rest of the commando force by its stable-companion's misfortune. Later, commandos catch up with the M10 - which has expended all its ammunition - and the crippled Centaur; with them in the background is an RMASG Sherman tank. Eventually a group of thirty-two survivors from the strong-point submits to being searched for concealed weapons by its commando captors.
