Description: I. "Royal Couple in Sydney". New Governor-General and his wife, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, arrive in Sydney by Avro Avalon on their first official visit and are greeted by Governor of New South Wales Lord Wakehurst and State Premier Sir William McKell. Couple drive through the streets lined by small crowds demonstrating their affection and enthusiasm. After visit to Chelora factory producing Beauforts, Gloucesters proceed to Cockatoo Dock, where they are received by Rear Admiral Moore and look around. Gloucesters then attend investiture ceremony at Admiralty House.
II. "RAAF crews man giant bombers". Liberators taxi out and take off from Token Wall airfield in NSW. Trainee airman practises with a bomb aiming mechanism. Liberators are serviced by WAAFs.
III. "Third Victory loan opens". Royal Papuan Constabulary band arrives in Melbourne by train, and members shake hands with Lord Mayor Sir Thomas Nettlefold. Fuzzy-wuzzies march barefoot as they play. Loan is promoted in Sydney by RN and RAN parade and speech by McKell.
IV. "They shall inherit tomorrow". Corporal element of thesis that "good citizenship is a healthy mind and healthy body" is illustrated by boys and girls camping and hiking in the bush near the coast and participating in a Physical Fitness Association parade.
V. Lifesavers parade at Bondi Championship Surf Carnival.
