Description: I. "The Night Offensive." Attack on Mannheim, Ludwigshaven. After briefing in Nissen crews take off in Stirlings to attack "the docks, industrial installations, machinery, electrical and chemical plants of the twin town of Mannheim-Ludwigshaven which lies high in Air Chief Marshal Harris' list of towns scheduled for destruction by Bomber Command". RAF voice points out the targets on a map, the photographic plane's route and the explosions during the raid itself (target indicators, photo flashes, bomb explosions, incendiary blazes) over film of the actual raid. Lines on the film are static discharge from cold.
II. "Limoges Raid provides contrast." Lancasters make low-level precision attack at night on the Gnome-Rhöne aero works at Limoges with aid of target indicator flares.
