Description: Using oxy-acetylene cutters and a 20-ton bulldozer winch, sappers from No. 4 Port Construction and Repair Group RE dismantle sabotaged gantry cranes on the Quai des Indes and the Quai de Maroc; an RB-33 crane loads steel debris onto Athey wagons. At the Quai de Norvege, 7.2 inch projectiles, coal and food are unloaded and stockpiled before despatch by road (note the parked Bedford OY lorries), and rail. On the Quai de Quebec, railway wagons are loaded with jerrycans; 80-gallon petrol and lubricant oil drums and jerrycans are stockpiled for collection by train; an RASC lorry carrying flour bags leaves the quayside. Sugar and flour bags are unloaded onto the Quai de Maroc (?). On the Quai de Norvege, where two goods trains are seen leaving, bombs, shells and food crates are stockpiled for despatch; a Bedford OY cargo lorry road convoy prepared to leave Dieppe from the Quai. From a grain silo, the cameraman observes activity in the Paris and Canada Basins. Near the Gare Maritime in the Avant Port, mortar ammunition, tyres and 80-gallon petrol drums are stockpiled on the quayside. In the Darse de Peche, Royal Engineers repair the quayside with concrete filled sandbags.
