Summary: No 2 Port Construction and Repair Group commences clearance work in Boulogne's extensively-sabotaged harbour.
Description: Demolition charges are detonated under a section of the Jetee Nord-Est during the extension of the Quai des Excursionnistes. From the Upper Town, the cameraman surveys the entire port from the Gare Maritime to the Inner Entrance. In the Avant Port, the massive reinforced concrete slabs of an E-Boat pen lie heaped on top of each other. In the Bassin Loubet, the cameraman surveys the Appoitement Ouest: demolition work is carried out on wrecked cranes on the Quai du Sud. A derailed railway wagon and naval contact mines are found in a dock repairs shed. Nine blockships lie scuttled across the Inner Entrance; a short distance away is the wrecked concrete pen. As a preliminary, a single depth charge is detonated among the blockships. The cameraman surveys bombed-out railway yards and wrecked locomotives behind the Rade Carnot and the devastation in the Bassin Loubet. On the Quai du Sud, sappers attach German explosives to debris on the quayside and detonate them. Cratered quaysides are seen at the lock entrance to the Bassin a Flot. The cameraman examines a shipyard's shattered interior.
