Summary: Units of the 7th Armoured Division keep watch over a section of the River Maas North-West of s'Hertogenbosch.
Description: The cameraman surveys the dyke running along the south bank of the Maas at Heusden and the apparently intact steel girder span of a blown bridge which once spanned the river from forward positions occupied by the 1/7th Battalion Queen's Regiment's 'A' company. An infantryman belonging to the company's No. 9 platoon is seen in position in a slit-trench, aiming his Bren light machine gun towards German positions along the north bank on Land van Altena. Filing from a slit-trench, the cameraman surveys the remains of a German-built wooden trestle bridge on the Maas at Heusden. Two nearby mortar detachments are seen in action in a house garden in support of 'A' company, bombarding a German OP on the far bank of the Maas with 3- inch HE mortar bombs.
