Summary: Floods hinder the flow of traffic up to 49th (West Riding) Division's positions on the Hollandsch Diep at Willemstad.
Description: An AFPU jeep heads along a 'bund' road submerged by several inches of wind-driven, foaming salt water. (two takes). From this moving vehicle, the cameraman surveys tree plantations and a cottage inundated by the floods and observes spray spurting out from underneath the jeep's front wheels as it motors along the road. A universal OP carrier motors along 49th (West Riding) Division's route into Willemstad - now under an inch or two of water - past a sign urging drivers to slow down because of floods. A Morris Quad 17/25 pounder tractor from 143rd Field Regiment RA is seen stuck in a ditch further along the same road. Among the other traffic seen braving the swiftly-flowing flood waters and the high winds are a CMP 3-ton lorry from an RASC unit (?), a Humber heavy utility staff car belonging to the AFPU and Several intrepid Dutch cyclist.
